I aquired a longblock last weekend. It came out of a boat and supposedly only has a few dozen hour on it. The cylinders look great and I see no need to hone them.
I'm ready to build me a stroker, and have a 400 crank that I want to use, but i'll be damned if I can find pistons. I've flipped through mail order catalogs and surfed the web, but no standard bore pistons for a stroker. I'm on a seriously tight budget and we all know machine work ain't cheap. Can someone point me in the right direction? Thanks.

 

Use 350 pistons with the 400 short rods?

Didn't think about that, would it work?

The main journals have already been resized.

 

That was the original way of doing it, I believe.
