looking for a hood
well what i really want is a fiberglass hood with the stock formula cowl and the trans am vents you know the two in the front and the two on the sides since that came out of my head i dont think any one makes it i want to know if anyone makes the stock formula cowl hood in fiberglass?? i had an 1988 firebird formula and i loved that hood and i have modified my 87 TA's hood to be a semi functioning ram air (i DID feel a difference when i cut backing of the front vents) i made a intake setup where the MAF is directly in front of the TPI intake and my K&N filter connects to the MAF it was a good mod but i noticed a big difference when i cut the hood so my dream hood is a formula hood with the TA vents if i have a fiberglass formula hood i am fairly confident that i could put the TA vents in it does any one make a fiberglass formula hood????
thanks

Mcwillie, that sounds like it could a cool hood. I am also looking for a similar hood.I was wondering if it was possible to use or fabricate a stock 85 Trans Am hood with the nostrils a little back, that way they can clear the radiator bump and maybe use some sort of Ram Air. The back vents work as heat extractors. I am wondering if this would be possible or if anyone is interested in doing I will buy it from them. Let me know if you find something out. Thanks!!
