Do Not Buy The Pro-form!!!!

Ok, This is why I say dont buy the Pro-Form Air Clener from Edlebrock. I purchased one from AutoZone about 2 weeks ago and slapped it on my 82 T-top....Looked really nice. So, anyways, I popped my hood today and I go to take off the air cleaner (cause Im swapping carbs) and what do I find? a BIG cunck of the foam is missing, it luckily fell inside the lip of the air cleaner....I took it out and looked at it, it seems it just broke off and if that had fell into carb and somehow made it into my engine, I dont think performance would have been happeneing anytime soon. So, this is to day DO NOT BUY THE EDELBROCK PRO FORM AIR CLEANER!!!! It is junk and definately not worth any money....Sadly, Im stuck with mine.....But I dont want to see fellow carb 3rdGenners buy one and regret it.

At least once a week someone gets told to stay away from those. I learned my lesson about 10 years back on them. A couple people I know had them, and boy it wasnt pretty. The best feature is the flameable foam. One good backfire, and she goes up like a roman candle. No real risk of burning up the car, but it melts the foam, which in turn goes down into the carb, which will guarantee that you will be shopping for a rebuild kit at the least.

Went down to summit racing 2 weeks ago and in clearance they had at least 3 hundred boxes of them for 99 Cents a piece.
