i just bought a slp cold air intake system for a 85 camaro, and it says it will fit. the battery is in the spot where the cold air intake is suppose to go, and i was wondering if there is another way of doing without moving the battery or if my camaro is different than others of the 85-87 years.

i personally am not sure. But something you could do is relocate your battery. I got an optima redtop and a battery box from moroso and the battery is going to be sitting in the trunk from now on.

Remember, if you relocate the battery to the trunk you will need a cut-off switch to go to the track. NHRA rules. I'm also considering a CAI, I looked at the SLP but the size of the air duct is almost the same at the stock.
