I've heard and read that the B&M shift kits merely mask the factory slopiness of the 700R4. While improving shifting, there are not as good as the TransGo kits. The TransGo TransPak is a really good shift kit from what I'm told. It acutally corrects some things within the transmission, while improving shifts and making your tranny last longer.
yes, it's really a waste.
as stated, they simply mask the problems. Their "shift kit" is an upgraded pump spring and a couple solid spacers replacing the accumulator springs. JUNK! - Either go Transgo or Superior. That way the entire valvebody is upgraded, properly, to quicken shifts and up holding power.
