Well, it doesn't mount to the tranny housing. You have to order their cross member and weld it up to the frame. I was going to get Subframe connectors, but since theirs mounts to the rockers as well, I went ahead and purchased the entire kit which includes everything to mount it to your car. They were great to deal with. I can't wait to get it in.
We just finished the install. I love the setup, but there is a ground clearance issue with the cross member. The drive shaft loop sits down about 1.5 inches lower than the cross member, so it drag terribly. We couldn't get the car off the alignment rack without it hanging, so we jacked up the front end, then rolled it off. My plan is to either take off the drive shaft loop, or grind off the lip on the bottom of the cross member, and relocate the drive shaft loop.
Otherwise, the kit was easy to install. We welded everything instead of bolting it up, because there was some questions about the drivers side rocker as I have some rust there. I've got some pics with my cell phone, but you really can't tell alot about the install. I'll try to get it back on a lift and get some pics using my digital camera.
But as far as S&W Racing, they've done their homework. As I said, I'm very well pleased in the quality. The ground clearance of the crossmember & drive shaft loop, is my only nag. Keep in mind, I've never ordered and installed SFC's before, so this might not be the first complaint for SFC's.
