What to do next???
What to do next???
Alright, I have an 83 Z28, i pulled the 305 and replaced it w a 350 bored to a 357. It has a speedpro cam w/ a 467 lift, wieand intake manifold, and a edelbrock 600 cfm carb. What should I do next? I want more power. I have enough torque but my top end is lacking? should i start w full exhaust? or gears? thanks for your help

This the wrong forum for this question, try posting in the Carburetors forum, or maybe Tech / General Engine forum. You will get much more help there. I would love to give advice but I can’t help much.

After re reading you post I realize that you have the stock exhaust stuff. That is the single worst system on our cars next to the intake; you have already fixed the intake with your carburetor and wieand intake manifold so exhaust is the next biggie. After that some major porting work on the heads or new heads. Did you replace it with an l98, or an older block? The l98 heads or not awful, and worth some time with a grinder, most older castings are two low of compression and have a shitty bowl shape and are not worth the time and money in my opinion.
