Re: Procomp distributor

Are you still using the fuel injection? It sounds like you purchased a distributor for a carbureted car. I've got a TBI Camaro and a TPI firebird and their distributors have two plugs(no wires coming off of them)where the cars wiring harness plugs into them.

Re: Procomp distributor

its still fuel injected, its got one plug that has the 3 wires coming off it, with raw ends. i think they want you to splice them together, but i have no idea how. the stock one had 2 plug areas but its a piece of junk...

Re: Procomp distributor

I wouldn't know how to wire it. I bought an MSD distributor and it's got the plugs like the stock one. There's a local shop that's a Procomp dealer. I've seen his distributors and the one for my Camaro(which is fuel injected by the way)has the two plugs like the stock one. Where did you get the distributor?

you may end up pushing your chevy just like your sig says with that procomp distributor. we sell those where i work and 9 out of 10 come back to us as defective. they're junk. save yourself the time and return it for something else (msd, mallory, etc.) you'll spend more money initially for the part, but at least you'll only spend it once.

just my .02. i'm not gonna say i told you so if it quits on you, but just something to think about.
