Procomp distributor
hey i just bought a procomp distributor but it only has a single connection on it, the old one had 2. I was wondering if anyone knows how to wire this together. The new distributor has 3 wires coming off it, a black, a red and a orange, they are open and seperate wires. Please help me

Re: Procomp distributor
Are you still using the fuel injection? It sounds like you purchased a distributor for a carbureted car. I've got a TBI Camaro and a TPI firebird and their distributors have two plugs(no wires coming off of them)where the cars wiring harness plugs into them.

its still fuel injected, its got one plug that has the 3 wires coming off it, with raw ends. i think they want you to splice them together, but i have no idea how. the stock one had 2 plug areas but its a piece of junk...

I wouldn't know how to wire it. I bought an MSD distributor and it's got the plugs like the stock one. There's a local shop that's a Procomp dealer. I've seen his distributors and the one for my Camaro(which is fuel injected by the way)has the two plugs like the stock one. Where did you get the distributor?
