Need help choosing select parts for a 383 L98
I’m having my ’87 L98 stroked to a 383. It’s being built by a local engine builder. The car is a daily driver and must be able to handle We’re using a cast crank, forged 6” rods and forged pistons. He’ll be re-working my aluminum L98 heads(porting, competition valve job, larger valves,etc..) . I’m trying to re-use as many existing parts as I have. Compression will be between 10-10.5. The car must pass NJ emissions. Obviously a custom chip is in order also.
This includes:
Modified maf, 52mm TB, ported plenum, big mouth manifold, APFR
I will probably get an AS&M semi-siamesed LTR as a $$ compromise. It’s about $200 cheaper and I don’t have to get a 58mm TB for the time being. I need to provide the following:
1. camshaft(can I reuse my exist hyd roller lifters?)- I’m leaning towards LPE 219, poss. upgrade to SR in a couple years
2. roller rockers(builder said aluminum is fine, I’m thinking 1.6 ratio) specific part recommendations?
3. long tube headers
4. fuel injectors- in the interest of saving $$, can I reuse my existing injectors? They are stock flow but previous owner put on Rochester blueprinted injectors
5. custom chip- considering Fastchips or having a chip burned while being dyno tuned locally(Ida automotive, Morganville, NJ)
I’ve read John Lingenfelter’s Modifying small blocks and TPIS insider hints. Between this and following this great forum, I’m suffering from information overload. I would appreciate any suggestions.

auto(trans kit,shift kit), 2300 stall converter, k&N filter, 3.07 rear diff., Silver ZR-1 wheels 17x9 and 17X11
