Accel, MSD, or Pertronix???

Gonna be getting new coil, cap, rotor, plugs, and wires for christmas. Trying to decide what to get. Accel and MSD are always the big name, but pertronix has a nice "flamethrower" tune up kit, that has their coil, cap, rotor, module, wiring harness, vacuumm canister, and all that, and its only $115. Has anyone had any experience with the pertronix flamethrower system? How about accell and msd. I didnt see any kits like that in summit...do they have kits? Where can i get and how much??? Thanks a lot in advance i really need help on this

Hey there, I am in the exact same position as you, only I"ve been looking at the MSD 6A ignition kit w/ the blaster 2 coil system and 6A box for 190$ I think.... Anyways, I want a new ignition for X-mas and don't know which one to buy, so I would also appreciate a reply to this topic, thank you!

I've got the Hypertech coil kit in my GTA from Summit and gave me a SOTP improvement. Its stock black not red like MSD's or yellow like Accel.Performance distribors also make a good kit plus they have a module.

I have the Hypertec cap and coil (the one that says danger high voltage on the top) with an MSD module (the one that looks like a cercuit board) in my wifes HEI and it works great. I used to run this disributer in my Nova and put it into my wifes Z when we put the motor in her car. I do not run a box with this system and the car revs clean up to 6000 (I have not had a need to go past 6000 sence both of the motors that it has been in have been very mild). I am planning on getting a MSD6al box for her Z after the first of the year because I want the safty of the revlimiter for her.

If your car is still computer controlled, the petronix kit will not work. It is for a 4 pin HEI Dist. Good Luck
