Those look pretty good, it so sad that originals will cost you a arm and a leg nowadays.

Re: what do you think of these fog lights??
yeah i know originals would be an arm and a leg anymore. also with my car being a clone i don't care that not every part on this car is 100% original parts. just want to look as close as possible. by the way all the website they are on also has them in clear lens, smoked lens, and blue tinted lens.

It'll save you some money to go check out Autozone or Harbor Freight tools or any other auto parts store as I always see them there. I got mine from Harbor Freight for $14 when they were on sale. They usually run around $20.

Not worried about cost as much as looking new and not leak water. I've used pilot fog lights in the past and they are agood product. Also good warranty.

Aren't the OE Camaro lights different than the Firebird lights? And those are virtually a dead ringer for the Firebird lights.

Re: what do you think of these fog lights??
so if anyone has an 82-84 z28 with the original fog lights in please take a picture( the best up close picture you can as i can try to clean it up with my picture editor software) and post it. i know this will be hard to find someone with them as most of the cars that got this option in 82-84 where: pace cars, 305 h.o.'s, and i think berlinetta's. don't quote me on this list of cars, secondhand info. also if possible a picture of the fog light switch and it's location(and if anyone should have an extra original switch i'm interested in one to keep the dash looking original)

I went to Walmart today and was checking out there automotive dept and happened to see 5 different sets of fog lights . I did not look real close but one set looked allot like what your looking for as far as style is concerned.

Re: what do you think of these fog lights??
i'm not asking to hunt down a lower price. i'm asking if they look like 84 z28 fog lights. i'm fine with the price, the company that makes them, and the people selling them. just need to know about appearance. i was 4 years old when my father had his 84 z and just can't remember how they looked and the pictures we have of it are from too far away.

Re: what do you think of these fog lights??
The Camaro fog lights DEFINATELY aren't the same. Taller, about the same width, but don't have the same type of lens retainer "clips" on the sides of the lenses.
You looking to duplicate the OEM ones? Not original ones, but as close as possible?

Autozone and Advanced auto parts have those EXACT lights. I just got a pair for my camaro. They look almost identical to the ones that came with my Z28 nose

I've had the AZ headlights for a while now. The mounts are different than the ones I got from wal mart before them. Not as stout. Check them out before you get them.

Re: what do you think of these fog lights??
Just to let you know,Factory fog lights were first used in 1985 for the Iroc. There were no factory fogs on any 82-84 z28`s

Re: what do you think of these fog lights??
In addition to what has been said about no factory fog lights before 1985, those fog lights don't look anything like the OEM fog lights, other then being rectangular in shape, similar size, and lighting up when they're powered.
The factory Camaro fog lights are very unique. In addition to a huge metal bracket which positions them correctly in the grill, they have a screw type adjuster. The lenses are asymmetrical, the inside edge is deeper then the outside edge. They also use more durable bulbs (Not H3 fog light bulbs). The Firebird fog lights are a lot closer to the cheap Walmart lights, but the Camaro units are built a lot better. There's really no aftermarket substitute that comes close to really looking like the stock units. Cheap fog lights are one of the easier ways to spot a clone.

I've been thinking of those, but I've also thought about fabbing up some brackets to mount some form of sealed beam low beam headlight bulb and wire my own set with relay and all.

Re: what do you think of these fog lights??
I would agree. Those look nothing like stock for the '85-'92 cars.
I have not seen factory substitutes that looked good. I have also not seen factory substitutes that look stock. Its all about the details. I would run factory fogs or none at all.
