Accel Super Coil

Mine started working only when it wanted to after only 10,000 miles. Garbage!
What does everyone else use for ignition coils?

I have an accell right now and have had it for 3.5 years, works killer. I also have used MSD blaster 3 coils and those are great too. Might want to look into MSDs.

My GM Accel coil only lasted 1 year. Prior to that, I had the universal supercoil, which is more durable, perhaps because it is encased and resists the heat better. Who know, you luck out sometimes. Original GM would be the most durable.

Accel has really gone downhill over the last couple of years. Their quality control is horrible

I've had my Hypertech coil now for 4 years with no probs.

I've had mine on the car now for 5 years and never had any kind of problem at all. My son also runs one on his 81 Z and never had a problem.

My Accel coil seems to be working fine, but I've had really bad luck with other accel products, I'll never buy from them again.

I installed mine back in 94, and I've had no problems with it at all. Every product no matter how good the quality control is going to have some bad components from time to time.

I've used Accel remote super coils twice before and I've been happy with the Holley Laser Shot that replaced the last Accel that went bad after only 9 months. The first lasted 2 years but didn't improve things much past the OEM piece.
