ok so I am on a very limited budget and have an old 350 block laying around that i want to build up. ive heard nothing but god things from people but wanted to get more advise. are summit racing engine components up to par? keep in mind this would be in a daily driver that i only really get on to shoot across traffic. im thinking of goin up to a 383, and they have a kit i was going to buy. need input please

Re: summit racing
what do you mean by "Summit Racing Engine Components?" like as in Summit brand connecting rods? (the reason i ask is because they sell alot of other brand name stuff - usually [though not always] a little or alot more expensive.) they are probably good, but i tend to stay away from Summit brand stuff simply because i bought a Summit brand cat-back for my truck which wasnt worth a damn.
can you post a link to the kit in question?

Iv noticed (along side some of the people I talk to ) that some of the summit brand stuff is close to if not tge same to some brand names. Also some parts are altogether junk. I live only an hr away so I just drive there but is say give em a call they're great people and won't steer you wrong.
P.s. guy I work with says they match prices on eBay. Must be an " in store" thing
