Heidts panhard relocation bracket
Website shows just a bracket. The kit is actually upper and lower bracket with a relocated panhard brace bar and associated hardware. Does not include panhard bar.
Panhard brace bar hits my 4th gen fuel tank and cannot be used. Might hit 3rd gen fuel tank too, but I don't know. Bar takes a very high path across driver side, then crooks down lower to clear exhaust. The high side is the problem. Much higher than necessary, doesn't have to be that way. This is a VERY sturdy bar, I wish I could have used it.
Upper panhard bracket does not fit as-is. Top holes were drilled in the wrong location, so had to weld those holes shut and re-drill. Had to grind a lot of material off the top side of the bracket to fit the contours of stock bracket on the car. Also, bracket protrudes unnecessarily far towards the tire. Would have to watch clearance if using tires that fill the wheel well. Again, doesn't have to be this way.
I wasn't able to install the lower bracket on my car, so not sure how well it fits. Bracket is designed to wrap around the lower control arm mounts. Problem is I have control arm relocation brackets that interfere with the ability to do that. Also, my OE brake tube bracket was in the way. Could maybe get it to work with enough grinding, cutting, and fiddling, but not worth it considering the other issues.
Upper and lower bracket have about half the adjustment resolution as the UMI (Heidts holes spaced twice as far apart). And the top holes are blocked by the stock brackets, so poorly placed locations.
Some parts were not painted and rusted to heck as received. Had to sand and paint those parts myself.
Overall I recommend you avoid this product and try something else.
