6doi
This is loosely 3rd gen related and definately product/vendor review related.
I made a website 6DOI where people can rate businesses and products, but what makes the site unique is that it uses the "6 degrees of separation" principal. Find out what companies your friends have dealt with and if they had good experiences. You can also find out someone in your chain of friends has a contact at a business.
For example, my girlfriend bought a car and a week later we found out my buddies boss is buddies with the owner of the dealership! She could have saved $1000s if we had known sooner.
Go to www.6DOI.com and put in part companies and vendors you've dealt with and if they were good or bad experiences. Tell your friends to do the same and we can have a database full of valuable info! Not everyone on thirdgen.org checks this forum, so let others know too. Hell, let your friends outside of thirdgen.org know and your local business info can increase too.
I've bought lots of 3rd gen parts - SLP headers, AFR heads, Boyd wheels, the list goes on - so I'll have to put some reviews of my own in too. The site is new and doesn't have a lot of content, but do your part and it will grow!
The site is cost free, spam free, and even sponsor ad free. And you can earn ownership in the site. The more you submit, the more you own. That's worth squat right now, but if people participate then it could be worth something in the future.
Check it out. Feel free to make suggestions for improving it. Hope you like the concept!

Are those crickets I hear?
Come on, participate!
Your buddy could save the hassle of dealing with a crappy local auto body shop. You could help your friends avoid buying that gimmick Tornado air intake device (or maybe you swear by it?). Everyone has had good and bad experiences with local and national companies. Here's your chance to give back and help out!
Sure the site is new, but if you don't participate then it will never be full of great info. Go sign up and put in some reviews now! www.6doi.com
The site is for everyone's benefit, not mine. The more people put into it, the more they own. All I want out of it is a great reference site.
