BMR-bad experience
I ordered one of there k-members with lower control arms back in late July. The product looked great. Went to install it and I could only get the back 2 bolts to line up.
So I called up the people at BMR and told them my problem. I was told that GM used 2 different bolt locations on these cars for the front 2 mounting points. I didn't buy it. They told me they were aware of this problem but did not correct it because no one had complained about it until I did. There was a 1/2 in difference between the factory k-member and theirs.
They sent me another one with slotted holes-their quick fix. This one did bolt up, but now the middle mounting point is canted inward at the top. I called them back and told them this problem. (At this point I am ready to send averything back until I'm told of the 15% restocking fee and me pay for shipping back for something they can't make right in the first place). I asked if the jig they use in making these could be off. Said he didn't know, but would check and call me back. I get a call the next day telling me that the jig was checked and that it was off-excellent quality control program they have- and they were making me a new one and it would be shippped out pronto. Could not say whether the last one I got was right or not. Listed it and sold it on ebay, then I ordered one from Spohn. Long story short, don't buy a BMR k-member for a third gen.
For those of you that have a BMR k-member, I hope your experience was better than mine.
