Jet Performance

I sent my Stock quad. carb to Jet for a stage 2 rebuild and for a computer chip to match. I
read up on the company and everyting seemed to be legit and I heard some good things
about them so I did it. Although now I've read some things that are making me question
that choice. Have any of you had experiance with Jet Performance? My carb wont be back for
at least another week so I'll just have to cross my fingers at this point but is there anything
I should look out for when I get it back? Thanks for all the input...

Aric...

My only beef with the Jet chips is the same with ALL "off-the-shelf" chips...they do nothing.

Generally, these "off-the-shelf" chips like Jet, Hypertech, ADS, Summit, etc add a couple of degrees of timing to the mid-lower rpm range, a little extra fuel in the same range, locks the TC a couple of mph higher and (depending on the version) alter the on/off temperatures of the cooling fan.

Very little IMO. About 5 minutes to make those changes. Not worth the money they are charging.

Your best bet is either a custom eprom from someone like Ed Wright at www.fastchips.com or, better yet, learn how to burn your own.

See now this is supposed to be a custom burned chip. I had to fill out a form that had every mod I've ever made listed and basically everything the car was equiped with. The chip is supposed to be tuned to best match those specs and then also work with the stage 2 carb that I am having rebuilt. I hope it all works out for the money I spent so we'll see...

GRRRRRRRRR..., I just called Jet and they said my carb still has a 4-5 day lead on it and then I've also got shipping time on there. Whice will be probly 4 days on top of that. I knew they were backed up when I sent it but Damn-it it's gorgeous outside and I've got that itch to drive my baby!
