Thirdgen Resource Shipping Damage

Ive been reading the posts on here about TGR, and a few of them have said that they had problems with their orders being damaged during shipping. I think i will throw in my experience. A few months ago (not sure exactly when, maybe September or so) I ordered a TPI system with wiring harness and ECM. The ordering process went EXTREMELY well...Roy called me promptly, it was shipped out as soon as he get everything together. I was extremely satisified. It took a few days to get the package to me. When I recieved the box from the UPS guy, it was torn in quite a few places, and most of the tape wasnt even stuck to the box anymore...it looked like it had been lost and tossed around for a month. Well I didnt have any time to inspect the things inside, though I could see the harness sticking out of the box. Well when I got home, I opened the box (pretty much just tore it open, the box was VERY thin, and the tape just came right off) and discovered a few things broken. First, the plastic plenum peice, no big deal, I'll get an aluminum one. A few of the connectors on the wiring harness were broken off..ok, I'll get new ones (shouldnt have had to do this). But the part that really worried me was the yellow connector going to the ECM was completely shattered. And it was also binding on the ECM (the connector was connected to the ECM). This really worried me, and I immediately called Roy and let him know the damage. A few days later a rep of UPS came by, and she said that the package was not appropriately boxed. She said the box was too thin, and there was a lot of dead space. (Roy filled it with paper and plastic peanuts, but not all the way to the top). I called him back and let him know, and he told me he used a brand new box, and packaged it as best he could, and it was probably the UPS guys fault. The rep didnt agree. So after trying a few times to get back in touch with TGR about fixing it, and getting Stacey each time (she told me to keep calling, Roy was either not there or busy, or he would call back, as she couldnt take care of it herself) I just gave up. I bought a ECM connector on Ebay...took about 2 days to wire it all up and make it neat, another day or so to make sure all the connections were ok...and its finally done. However Im still a bit concerned about the ECM. Theres not much I can do about it now, so i guess I'll just have to wait and see. But anyways, what really bugs me about all this.....I recently sold the TPI system on Ebay (last minute I decided to switch to a SuperRam Setup, kept the harness and ECM, as well as a few other things) and shipped it out yesterday. I bought a new box from UHaul for $8.......VERY thick, very stirdy, had handles on it so the UPS guy could grip it firmly, and was UPS approved. I packaged the TPI system up (after reinforcing the bottom with extra sheets of cardboard, and wrapping the plenum extension and runners in cardboard) and filled it with the same paper and plastic peanuts that were in the box TGR sent me. I also put another sheet of cardboard on the top. Put a whole roll of tape on the box so the guy i was shipping to wouldnt have the same problems I did. It came out EXTREMELY sturdy. I would have gladly paid the extra $ to have my stuff shipped like this from TGR. I know theres not much I can do about it now since this happend quite a while ago, I threw out the box (with a happy grin on my face) and sold/fixed the contents. But I will definetly keep this in mind if I decide to order something from TGR again, or any company for that matter. And sorry for the long post.

I have never bought anything from TGR(came close)...No wonder, look at all the bad stuff that they do,wrong items, slow shipping, overly priced items, now not packaging very well.C'mon people if you expect guys like me who spend anywhere from 300-1000 dollars a month on 3rd.gen. parts to buy from you, sounds like yall have some straighting up to do.I have emailed TGR once or twice about a part and never heard anything back from them and they wonder why some people don't use them.

Oh and one other thing.....Roy said he used a BRAND NEW BOX.....the UPS rep said he had used a used box....I had no idea how she could tell it was used (besides the fact that it was all messed up). I called Roy and told him she said it was used..and he said no..its brand new. Today I was taking the trash out, noticed the box. On one side there were a few shipping stickers from a Radiator company....hmmm....doesnt sound brand new to me. Perhaps he made it out of old cardboard? In which case....pretty thin cardboard he chose.
