Help me MSD tech!

i had an MSD 6AL in my 89' formula 350... now that the car is gone i might as well set it up in my 85' i know that msd makes a harness for the newer style ignition.... but what about my 85'? i dont want to have to splice any of the factory harness.

Yes we do, but I am about to show my lack of knowledge of mid 80's Camaros. If you have an external coil, using the small distributor then the plug in harness is part number 8876. If the distributor is the large HEI with the coil in the cap, (like the Corvette's) then the plug in harness is part number 8875. I am almost positive that it is the small cap external coil set up but I don't want to mislead you.

Thanks,

Joe

Then the harness is part number 8875 and if you want it the coil it is part number 8225. Your car will not need the tach adapter. If the tach does not function with the box in place there is a tach filter in line on the tach wire that will need to be by passed. This will allow the tach to function with out any adapters.

Thanks,

Joe
