So in my search for my favorite third gen wheel, the 16x8 Hi-Tech Convex Aluminum wheels, I came across a little business out of Bath, PA: http://www.wheelcollision.com/index.html. The website may seem humble, but it is laid out in such a way as it is extremely easy to find the wheels you need. Lo and behold, they had the exact wheels I was looking for! And not only that, they had pretty much every OEM wheel you could want for our cars!
Total priced for 4 shipped promptly right to my door was $746, and this is the quality that I got with that price:
This is all I could have ever dreamed of getting! I cannot wait to get some new tires and show off these babies!
So if you are wanting to buy some extremely high quality OEM wheels at a great price, I highly suggest looking into this business.
What's the best way to protect the clear coat on wheels? Should I treat it like any other clear coat or do I need to do something special?
Just keep it clean. Get road salt off of it and don't use harsh chemicals. The set I had refinished was on a garage Queen and it peeled anyway. It was never out in the elements or had any road salt on it.
I don't usually post to bash someone, but 3 out of the 4 wheels I bought from them had clearcoat issues and had to be done over. Now the 4th wheel has the same problem. I'm not even going to bother to take it back because now the first three are showing signs of peeling and cracking. I'll just let them go until they get bad enough and find wheels somewhere else. I do not recommend this place.
