Welded PCV

in this pic the PCV port on the under side of this LT1 intake was weld shut.what would be the reason for this?

why wouldn't you want/need a PVC system?

you always want a PVC system..


perhaps, he just didnt want to use the LT1 style valley one, and was using a valve cover one?

Possibly the intake was being used with an crankcase evac system, (breathers, diverters, to the headers).
