injectors on HSR

I can't seem to get my injectors far enough for the bolt hole to line up on my HSR fuel rails. is this a common problem with an easy solution or what?

thanks for the help.

They are probably not seated in the bottom.
The o-rings can bind up radially unless they are lubricated upon installation.
Wipe a bit of oil on the O.D. of each of them and they will slide in easily.

I've had two different Stealth Rams and two sets of Ford injectors and didn't have this problem with any of them. Did you lube both o-rings? (top & bottom)

Buy new Orings and problem solved. The injector ports are very tight on the HSR, I think is a good thing.

O-rings that are not lubricated can exert an enormous amount of radial resistance when they roll and bind up.
Glad you got them in.

Yes, this is a problem, however, Holley tech was not aware of it when I talked to them last January. Some types of injectors are about 0.200" longer than others and will not fit the Stelath Ram without modification.

The Fix I used:

Fill the existing four rail mounting holes in the base with aluminum screws; use JB weld to glue them in place & break them off after the glue cures & grind the bolts even with the surface of hte base.

Redrill the rail mounting holes in the base by installing the injectors in the rails, clamping the rail to the base, & then spot drilling the holes with a bit that fits the ID of the rail clearance holes. Remove the rails & drill the tap holes (I believe the bolts are 1/4"-20, which is a #7 bit) using a pre drilled block as a guide to make sure the drill is perpendicular to the surface of the base. Also, be sure to keep the hole blind - don't drill into the runner. Tap the holes, backing the tap off every 1/2 turn to break off the chip & then remove any debris from the tapped holes with compressed air.
