Quick help, fuel injectors for miniram

My accel 30s, just 2 years old, went bad on my minirammed vette.

The guy I bought the injectors from, Jon at fuelinjectorconnection.com, asked me what size o-ring I need for the top of the injector, 14.5mm or 15mm.

I don't have the car with me, and really need to get this figured out, any ideas?

He did mention that gm rails use 15mm, aftermarket use 14.5, and since I have tpis fuel rails, I'll assume 14.5, but just want to make sure.

Thanks Guys!

Re: Quick help, fuel injectors for miniram

I was under the impression that GM is 15.0mm, while Ford is a bit smaller (14.5mm). If the aftermarket piece is meant to replace a GM part, then the oring OD should be 15.0mm. I am running Ford Racing 24s in my 395 cu.in. stroker. I did not swap out the orings. No issues with fuel leaks for 10 years.

Re: Quick help, fuel injectors for miniram

You are right doc. Gm uses 15, ford uses 14.5. However, aftermarket fuel rails for gm utilize 14.5 also. I believe you still use the stock fuel rails with the super ram.

Tpis sells fuel rails with their miniram, they aren't gm rails, thats why I asked. I guess I'll find out when I put them in.

Re: Quick help, fuel injectors for miniram

When you are finished with your install, check for fuel leaks by simply turning the key to the ON position and energize the fuel pump. Do not start the engine. Check for leaks. Be safe and careful.

Re: Quick help, fuel injectors for miniram

Just thought I'd give an update. The injectors required the 14.5mm ring for installation in the miniram. Everything is going pretty well now.
