Intake and Elbow Selection Q's

I have a few questions on my current single plane efi build up.

First, Heres the intended mule for the efi application:
383ci
10.5:1 CR
World S/R Heads
Crane 100072 Cam with 1.6 Rockers
.515/.515 Lift, 228/228 @ .050, 284/284 advertised dur. 3000-6000 rpm
This motor is i a 3100lb camaro with a Tr3550 and 3.73:1 gears

My first idea was to have my Edelbrock Torker II modified by Aaron at intakeelbows.com. After i read a few post i began to wonder if my intake would not have enough plenum volume to support my 383. Should i step up to a Motown intake by world products? It has a slightly broader rpm range, 2500-8000 vs 2500-6500, and a much much larger plenum volume.

Second is the intake elbow. I have not decided between the Ls1 Style Monoblade or the Tpi style twin. Due to budget constraints i am limited to a stock one of either, but i am curious if there is any benefits to either one? Also which one do you guys prefer?

This will all be controlled by a 165 mass air setup. Someday i will convert to either a megasquirt unit or a 730 ecm setup.

Any and all opinions are appreciated
Thanks

Re: Intake and Elbow Selection Q's

I would go with the World Poducts single plane, thats what Im running. No need to weld injector bungs, the bosses are already cast into the intake. Im using a Wilson elbow, with a Nick Williams 90 MM LS1 TB. I like this setup over the GM twin bore.

Re: Intake and Elbow Selection Q's

Quoting Joe Sherman who used to work at Edelbrock. This is in response to someone asking about them that has one.

"In general the torker and torker 11 are the worst manifolds Edelbrock ever made. I used to work for Edelbrock way back then, and they were always terrible. any other manifold would have been a better choice. TOO BAD. "

He states in another post the Torker intake manifolds consistantly made 5-7hp less than the factory setup.

IMHO cut your loses now and get a intake manifold of modern design.
