HSR install: two coolant sensor and one coolant hookup

In removing the Accel intake manifold, I find that it has two coolant temp sensors and one coolant fitting in the front surface of the manifold. However, the HSR has two holes that fit the coolant fitting and only one thread for the coolant temp sensors. What to do? (Edit: one coolant temp sensor has a connector that looks like a fuel injector connector; the other is an oval shaped connector; both coolant temp sensors have same thread size)

I have an '87 system, so the alternator is on the passenger side. Also, I removed the AC compressor which was on the drivers side. The car has the multi-V belt accessory drive system. (if any of this matters)

I am aware of the fan switches. For example, there are coolant sensors in each head; drv side between 1 and 3,,, pass side between 6 and 8. I am not going to need to do anything here. Everything is hooked up and works.

I am concerned about the three threaded holes at the front of each intake manifold, but with mismatching thread sizes and apparently different purposes.

Re: HSR install: two coolant sensor and one coolant hookup

this sounds like when i installed my mini ram, use one hole for the coolent to the heater core, and the other is your cts. the other sensor is for your cold start injector, also a cts i guess if you will, any how the one with the "fuel injector" style head is for the cold start injector and i didnt use that...hope this helps

Re: HSR install: two coolant sensor and one coolant hookup

Long ago, I removed the Cold Start Fuel Injector when I installed the SuperRam. So, therefore, I must not need the coolant temp sensor associated with the Cold Start Injector. I assume that its the coolant temp sensor with the fuel injector type connector.

And therefore, I will plug the one coolant fitting hole in the HSR. For this coolant fitting, is it a pipe thread or other?

Re: HSR install: two coolant sensor and one coolant hookup

Well, my basic question is that: do I need the cold start temp sensor??? I have not used the cold start fuel injector ever since I installed the Accel SuperRam because it never had the fuel injector hole in the side on the intake manifold.

I assume that I dont need the cols start temp sensor. I will find out the hard way.
