runners / cam
Im running an 87 GTA TPI 350 auto, I noticed at the track that when I reach 4500 rpm im not pulling as hard.
Is this due to the long runners or is it because of the cam?
With a set of better runners would I be able to pull hard till 5000 rpm or higher on this stock cam?

Re: runners / cam
The stock cam isnt exactly great, but this is 99% the fault of the 17in of runner that the air has to traverse before it reaches the chamber.
A runner upgrade may help, but be advised that unless you get a siamesed set, the actual length of the runners will not change. You may be able to pull some higher r's with a better base and runners. But with the cost of this kind of upgrade, I would seriously consider putting the money towards an HSR or Miniram.
