Im putting an hsr on my 86 with the coil in cap dist. I bough a new small cap dist and oem remote coil. I have acess to the plug ins for it and it looks like the 4 prong and 2 prong connectors to the distibutor will be just cut and splice the wires to the other pigtails. but what about the wires that ran from the old distributor to the coil in the cap. i have to wires on the firewall that i assume are coil + and tach wires but the new coil has 2 more terminals so where do i run those to?

 

The late GM coil with dual connectors has a in and a out side
So you have 12V power (pink ) and tacho - ( white ) to coil on one side and the pink +and white - wires from coil to small dist plug on the other.
