i was browsing for my car on ebay, b/c im going to get my licesnce in 1 month is this any differance between a regular 1986 t/a 5.7 and this 1986 TRANS AM WITH A 5.7 LITER POLICE INTERCEPTOR MOTOR. it seems like a good deal and i might go check it out does this sound like a good deal? and what do you think its worth

There were no factory 5.7s in '86 except very very few Camaros. So that engine is a transplant, but be careful to make sure you're not being lied to.
I don't know too much about Firebirds, but I don't think Formulas came out till later, and it looks like there are front GFX on the car.

He's right about the blue smoke startup most likely being valves seals, but that's more of an annoyance than a problem.

The police interceptor engines got a bigger cam... I don't think they got anything else engine wise, but I may be wrong. Different cam as far as I know.... just don't quote me on it
