Color changing paint?

I was just in the racing board and had an idea. Anyway, I was wondering if there is any paint they sell that can have voltage applied to it, so that it changes colors. Such as, if there is no voltage, the car is blue, but when a small charge is put to it, it will change to red or something. I guess it would be similar to the liquid displays for calculators and such. This would be a great thing to have if you do a lot of street racing. That, along with hinged license plates with servos that can be turned by a switch from within the car, so that when you decide to race, you hit a switch and the plates swing down, so the back is showing. Then, when you get done racing, get out a put the plates back up. I'm sure someone has this done, but it would be worth it to make it one the rear bumper. For about $20-$30 you could aviod a few tickets. I don't know if they could really bust you for it, but who knows.

Damn I haven't been this confused in a long time. :lala: Ok from what I get of it is that you want a electronically controled switch that lowers your rear plate so no one can see it? If so I have seen it also with a strobe light. it iwas super bright and verry dnagerous to other drivers:nono: If I was you I wouldn't do it, plus if you do get caught you could be in even deeper And about the color changing paint. that would be cool but not practical. It would probably cost way to much money in time and developement to perfect it. And actually get the whole car to chage at the same time. Pretty cool thought. Why not just have some chrome illusion paint like I got.

Ya know the license plates that were used to cover the gas cap on the back of some cars? Well, I was thinking of it spring loaded the opposite way, so that it will flip down when released.
I was not planning on doing this, I was just thinking of ideas for the guys that do street racing. A simple easy way to avoid being identified. I know the paint would be a lot, but just a passing thought.

That plate idea would probably be pretty usefull in going through toll booths too. Flip your plates down, blow through a speed pass line, they would never be able to catch you.

This is my deviant side talking,

Sounds like your trying to get away from the cops. (cop puts on his lights, your flip your plates down haul *** and make a turn, then change the color of your car and drive away.)

Well I'm sure there is a way. Dont know much about all the tech stuff that goes into changing paint color with electricity. Im sure if some one has the technolegy they cant market it because of the reason that you want it for.

The plate thing would be awesome for us jersey and new york people. And any other place they have a speed pass kind of thing. The only thing that would suck is if there was a cop some where on the side of the road. Then you have to haul ***. As for the paint. I really don't think that would help hide from the cops to much. If you have tinted windows and anything that sticks outon the car it won't help to much cause cops will stop and camaro or firebird that fits a discreption even if its not the same exact color. I have been stoped for that reason. damn cops. they were jsut doing their jobs can't complain to much. but the paint would be kick *** if at the push of a button you could change the paint any color you want.
