can i paint dome cover?
can i paint the dome lamp cover red? will it look like crap? if i can, what paint should i use, what will it look like when its done? (pics help)

I got one. It faded in two days
Go to a theatrical lighting supply place and get some of the transleucent red film they use to color the lights on stage (ask for "gels"). It should come in rolls or sheets. Then you can cut pieces out to fit. They make a much more uniform color, and they don't fade even under extreme heat (think about how hot those stage lights get). Plus, you can remove them very quickly if you need white light, or want to change colors.
I've thought about cutting out kits of those and selling them.
