Need Suggestions.....

Hey all,

I am going off to Florida, and am going to leave the 'bird here in Texas. I will be driving the red 2k Camaro in Orlando for 10 weeks starting at the end of next week....

Anyways, I need suggestions on a car cover or something to protect it while I am away. I dont have access to a garage, or even a covered area to store it. I really dont want to leave it out in the elements without being able to wash it every week like I do now...

So what is the story on car covers? What are the safest ones to get? I really dont want to come back to scratched up paint and such.

Thanks!

By the way, this is what I will be driving...

When I head off to college, I store my Camaro. This means it's stored from September to late May. I usually have a garage to throw my IROC in for the winters, but this winter I wasn't so fortunate. I don't know if I'll have a garage any time soon, and I can't see shelling out money EVERY winter to store it (at $25 a month, it adds up), so I bought a car cover.
I was sure to get one that would protect the car from EVERYTHING and breathed really well. My dad had his 69 chevelle that WAS mint stored under a car cover for 6 years, and it rusted the car to hell.
I bought a "Superweave" California Car cover on-line (which I believe is THE BEST car cover money can buy) at the end of last summer. The thing cost a little over $300 with shipping and a lock, but I think it was totally worth it. You price a good paint job lately?

Anyway, I waxed my IROC, threw it under the cover, headed off to college and hoped for the best. When I came back home for spring break I pulled the cover off and the car looked EXACTLY like it did at the end of the summer. I could still feel the wax on the car and it looked like it had just been freshly washed. I really was amazed. A full out New England winter had no effect on the thing.

If you want the best protection you can get short of storing your car in a garage in a plastic bubble, I HIGHLY recommend the Super Weave California Car Cover.:hail:

You cant leave the Bird! What do I recommend? Get a storage shed for 80 bucks a month. If I had new paint on my car I would do that + a car cover.
