Will these aftermarket wheels fit my car?

I wanted to buy a set of wheels from a guy I know, but we tryed them and they touched the strut, and wouldnt go all the way in.
The wheels look like the silver ws6 star ones they are 17 by 10 in wide.
My question is, is there any way that I can put a spacer and get longer studs to make them fit , or is this so unpractical that it sounds silly.
The wheels came off of a 96 camaro I think, and the tires are 275-40-17.
The spacer would have to be 1/2 to 3/4 in wide.

I dont know much about wheels, and just want to know if I can safely make them fit, or if I just sould forget about them and look for something narrower.

Thanks for the help guys

they might fit the rear, if so you would need 2.5" adaptors or wider. go to www.skulte.com. tell him the wheels nad your car and he will tell you everything.

you need adaptors not spacers:

My wheels are 9.5 inches and the tires are 255.

They dont stick out anything noticeable. Your wheels would only stick out about another 1/2 - 1 inch more than mine, (depending on what size spacers you need). If you ask the guys at www.skulte.com, after they figure out what size adaptors you need, They might know how far they will stick out.
