Paint job

I looking to get my 88 painted but i'm afraid it might cost me a cool grand. My car has an aero wing and a custom SS hood, but the body has began to rust and someone ran into my door. The car has a few rust spots and a couple little dents and one big dent. How much do you think it will cost me to get my car painted with base coat clear coat? Is MAACO a good place to get my car painted?

Only if you can't afford a cool grand... or more. If you go to Maaco or the like, remove everything you don't want painted, and do as much of the prep work as you can including body and priming. Some people have gotten decent jobs (almost always those who did their own prep), and others complain. Seems that you need to closely check out the individual shops paint jobs, and make sure they do decent work. Maaco is certainly better than living with a faded or peeling paintjob, even at its worst, plus the price is right.
