Earthquake

Close this if you want too. We just went through an earthquake here in southern indiana....anyone else feel it. I hope my 84 Firebird at home isn't under a fallen tree or something.

I was at work on the top floor of my office building and it was a wild ride. That was the first quake Ive been through.

Just wanted to share

It was pretty crazy. Now you guys from California will laugh at this one. It was a 5.0 quake that originated north west of here. I was sitting working on my Mac and all of a sudden the desk started to vibrate. I thought...man I guess my lunch isn't agreeing with me... Then the real shock started. It was pretty strange to know that the ground you walk on isn't sure footed anymore.

Im on the top floor so the whole building was swaying back and forth. It is an old warehouse that was converted to office space. So the building is solid. Thank the Lord everything is okay. My fiance said she looked out the windows at her work and saw all the cars in the parking lot moving....that would have been wierd to see.

The quake hit around 12:30 central time.

I'm just south of Evansville in Henderson Ky and we felt it. Had a few broke windows and some powerlines down. We are a little less aware of tremors with all the coal mines around. I just posted in the southeast board about it!!! 4.4 in Paducha and still no report of injuries. Wonder when the big one is coming???

We had one in December. Im in Evansville and it got us pretty good. Im still at work and I haven't heard of any injuries or damage yet. Those quakes are just six months apart. I hope this isn't going to be a trend.

Im glad everything is okay for the most part. My fiance's mom and dad are from Bedford which is 2.5 hours north of E'ville and they felt it.

When I used to live in Alaska, earthquakes were nothing new. Living just south of Mt. Lazy we felt 5.0's every other week or so. The strongest we had in the 2 years I was there was a 7.9 Did some big damage to the house. An avalanche wiped out a small town at the bottom of the Mt. The quake was centered just north of Anchorage, and we were about 15 miles away. Made some California guys on vacation mess their pants!!!

Felt it in Tennessee!

Hey guys, I live just outside of Nashville TN, and we felt it here too. No damage or anything, just some windows vibrating and stuff. Kinda felt like a really low helicopter went over. Housekeeper said the elevator shaft vibrated the most. Glad I wasn't in it at the time. Anyway, hope everybody up there is okay and the damage isn't too bad. We'll be thinkin about ya though. Stay safe.

I know how you feel sort of. We got an F4 Tornado in So. MD while I was at college. That kind of stuff don't happen around here. My house that I lived in in 3rd grade was gone.

Hmm.. wonder why I didn't feel it

Kidding Bill (and anyone else lol).. I believe I was getting in some window time when that happened so I'd have never known. Too bad it wasn't bad enough to crush my bud's truck so I wouldn't have to f-with the wiring anymore
