I got a black 85 trans am with silver ground effects and i have black louvers on the rear window. Do you think it would look alright if i painted the louvers the same silver as my gound effects?...Have any of you done this?...Pics?

 

I would say 9 out of 10 people on this board would say take them off. Including myself, most of the time they don't look good. Sorry it wasn't one of the answers you were looking for.

 

On some cars, louvers on the hatch looks alright. But painted silver, no way. Just my opinion though.

 

:nono: i would take it off. Ive seen maybe 10 3rd gens with them and they all look trashy except one grey and black 3rd gen i used to see. they looked good on it for some reason.

 

If it were my car, I wouldn't paint the louvers, personally I'd take them off, BUT its your car, do what you want, and if it does turn out, post some pics man!

 

Maybe if you had a silver or gunmetal paint color....
