I'm a maro owner but still have respect of all the Bird owners out there that have put in their time and money into these cars, but what about that one member who dropped in a 502 into his bird and kept the outside looking pretty much stock. i can't remember his user name offhand but that was a sweet engine swap

by the time you get paint, even if it looks like crap you better be in the top 10 just for effort by now
j/k man I do like your car, with the high rise spoiler and 91-92 camaro gfx, I really like it alot. Just needs paint.

Hey I know I definitly can not compete with you all performance wise. But I would have to put my 84 Firebird up for a vote on visuals.
Hey I say I have a top 10 in the IRON DUKE category.

My vote goes to Scott85T/A, but 86Fyrbird's car is really good.
My car will look like Scott's in a couple of months (just in Red)
Bill's 84 gets extra points for the Iron Duke
I :hail: all of you with paint. Here's mine:

You should use the one after that one, it is brighter and looks cleaner.

raif...you wanna trade me your leather seats for my red and black ones? Mine would look better in your car.....(I say that somewhat jokingly and somewhat seriously.

I have thought about those seats Bill. If only Camaro seats were more comfortable. They would probably look really cool in there. No really these leather seats are on loan for the show season. They are from my boyfriend's 1997 Camaro SS. Its in my basement getting an engine rebuild. A valve spring broke. Lucky thing we caught it before it did any serious damage. Head gasket blew out too. That's how Joe discovered the spring.
I want to go with Ebony 4th gen seats or get mine recovered in black leather. Either all black w/ red piping, or black with red center inserts. I can't decide. The all black would match my interior better, but the red inserts would be so bold.

I also heard from last time that they were working on improving the fit of the decals, make them more exact. The original post for the taillight decals can be found here.http://www.transamgta.com/ubb/Forum4/HTML/000021.html
Hope she gets back to yah soon.

Well, redraif's car is unique. Definitely gets points for originality. Now match them agressive looks and drop an aggressive engine in there!!!

Hey, you aren't the only one with interesting rims. I've got FWD rims that are a Datsun/Honda lug pattern. That's an original here as well. Only way I could get my rims. I have a spacer and an adapter.

ya know red I was gonna ask you about that, I saw your tires, I was interested in the for the back a while ago and was told they are made for primarily FWD cars (imports) but you just explained how you have them.

Thats odd. I have never heard that the scorchers were mostly for imports. In fact I have only seen them on 1 import since they came out: blue on a silver Honda Civic. I think the import guys around here are too cheep. Most of their wheels are even low priced simple spoke wheels. Now the MINI truckin guys and the Full size truck and SUV guys, they spend some $ on wheels.
Domestics: I have seen scorchers on a mustang, cougar, S10 P/U, and mine. I think they are great. People ask about them all the time. They match the car so well. I have had people in rush hour traffic ask about them as we plodded along.
Plus the size of mine would be odd for an import. 245/45/R17s. Could you see an import with those on. How could he have any wheel well left?
It blew my mind the day someone on the board ragged me for having ***** tires. The rims I knew were out there, but again too expensive for the average honda guy. That's probably why the 4 lug were all they had left and why they marked them down so much. The import guys were too cheep. I have seen my rims only 2 time before. They were 16s though. On a mini truck and on an ols sedan. The ols guy got them from a truck guy who got them from an eclipse guy. Heck I almost got that very set in 99 from the truck guy, but I did not have the $ then or the knowledge about fitting them.

How come I always show up late to these things? At least Soulbounder mentioned my bird
Here are some pics of my baby

Tranny was just rebuilt recently, as well as the rear end. Track times will be in soon. The last run I made (and best) was made on the slipping tranny.

Adam1340825807250852370235702's car is definately one of my favourites. That Camaro in the garage is sweet too....always had a sweet sport for white z's with white ss wheels!

Thats my brothers 1997 Anniversary Z28. He added the ZR1 17x9.5 wheels and had them powdercoated white. It has headers, short throw shifter on the M6, and a magnaflow muffler. Its fast
