Okay, now... seriously. If I were you I'd download a trial version of PaintShop Pro - it's almost as feature rich as PhotoShop but MUCH MUCH cheaper. Work with it for a while, then pay for it when your demo runs out. I say this because there is no one around that cares about your car the way YOU do. As you work with it you'll find out just how exasperating graphic work can be, and how long it can take.

It's rare that people will take the time to do "any other photoshop things you can think of" to someone elses car. You have to look for certain angles, certain resolutions; it can be a pain in the a$$. That's why you see when guys request certain photoshop mods, replies saying "give me a photo from the angle you want of your car and the xxxx you want me to put on it". This isn't a flame (like in the other post where the dude demanded that people go out and find photos of his request as they're a dime a dozen) just a friendly reminder: making a photo realistic enough to seriously consider can take a considerable amount of time. Hell, just lengthening my ground effects skirts took me a couple of hours before I was satisfied with the shadows and paint match.

My advice is to go out and take about 50 pix of your car from every conceivable angle. Make them read-only so you can't overwrite them. Then start playing in PaintShop/PhotoShop as time permits - do a google search on PhotoShop or PaintShop tutorials and you'll find a goodly amount of info to help you learn.
Another well said statement from Scauffiel.

Actually scauffiel, you'll learn after a while, that there are people that just can't be taught. I've found that just ignoring the guys that ask a question for the 50th time, with obviously no search, is the best approach.
Don't try to save the boards by policing the idiots. Definitely an uphill battle.
