My car is over 16 years old and I'd really like to bring back the color and luster of the paint. Don't get me wrong, the paint still looks good; I'm mainly doing this because the back bumper repaint is a little darker than the rest of the car (I had an accident and needed it painted). Even if I can't get it to match up perfectly, some is better than none. A friend suggested that I wetsand the whole car but I really don't want to do that if I don't have to. Are there any products or compounds that I can put on my paint to restore some of the color?

The color is faded underneath the clear coat so you won't be able to get the color any darker, just shinier. Just buff the Clear coat with 3M's Perfect-It Foam Pad polishing glaze after using a clay bar to remove all the surface contaminants to make your paint shinier and smoother. That's about all you can do to original paint.
