Hood insulation dress up
Hood insulation dress up
Ok,
searched a couple of hundred post associated with the hood insulation, but can't find any mentions of chromed/alloy plates that fit over the hood insulation. Can't find any on the major auto sites either. Have seen a couple in the UK on cars, that have the chevy bow tie on 'em.
Any ideas where to get them from?
Thanks,
Paul

Not my car. The hood panel is on only at shows and held in place by velcro. The owner is Craig Archer from West Virginia. To get more info from him, contact him at http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/tristatecamaro

I asked a bunch of people at car shows about panels like that. Pretty much everyone I talked to just went out and got like a 4' x 4' sheet of either alluminum or stainless steel, and made them custom. I plan on doing this to mine with alluminum so it can be polished to match all the engine. Im not sure what gauge metal but I would think that the thinner the better just because of weight.
