First of all, love your car, very sweet! Second, I noticed on your website that you have a Autometer shift light. I was just wondering how that works with your automatic tranny. Does it run off the computers shift points, or no?? Was it hard to install?? I would love to know because I think I am going to get one for my '88 GTA. I had already planned on doing the white face guages and a-pillar guages, but I think the shift light is very sweet! Any help you can give would be great, thanks.

You gotta buy an RPM activated module, which you plug the shift light into. Then wire up the module with power, ground and one wire to your coil's positive. The module is like $60 american. To set the different shift points, there are different RPM pills you pop into the module. its pretty simple.

He makes a GREAT shiftlight, that you don't have to worry about pills, just dip switches programable in 100 RPM increments...

Thanks for the help Flyin, I appreciate it! One more question though. By installing the RPM module, are you manually changing when the car shifts?? In other words are you changing the computers shift points?? Thanks.

No, not at all. The module has nothing to do with the tranny. It simply gets triggered by the RPM. I manually shift.
