245 x 60 15's front and back?

245 x 60 15's front and back?

Does anyone have this set up? I have them on the rear only and want to put them on the fron also but will I get fender rub in corners? I wanted to go 50's but lack of money and great deal on 60 series. Thanks for the replies in advance!:hail:

If it helps ya I got 255/50/16 on all 4 corners of my sport coupe, and they rub in the front when I cut it all the way. Eventually I'll go thinner up front.

Well that does help me to not buy 255's...lol.
Sounds like I might be ok with 245's on the front.
I don't like the idea of going with two different sizes on my car.

Feels like it handles poorly that way, maybe just my imagination. Thanks for the info!

Same set up, mine do not rub though! But I also just rebuilt my front suspension. I think that this is the stock size for an IROC anyway.

I have 245/50/16zr's and they don't rub.. well, they will rub for the first like week, but then it will wear down the place where it rubs on and u will never have the problem again.. dont worry.. its just plastic that wears down, nothing serious

Exactly .... I never see or feel them rubbing, however, the plastic wheel well has rub marks. Maybe its from the previous owner trying to put monster tires up front, I dont know.

245/50/r16's were there origional size for my car (88 Formula) so I dont see why they should rub.

You should be fine with 245's

245/60/R15

I have 245/60/R15's all around on my 83T/A and I only get rubbing when at steering extremes (ie: backing up with steering cranked). So if you want no rubbing I would suggest not going with them, all though you do get a cool look having the same all around.

I may also have a higher ratio T/A steering box which would make the comparison off a bit if you have a sport coupe.

hope this helps.

245/50/r16's were there origional size for my car (88 Formula) so I dont see why they should rub.
your neglecting the fact that he asked about 15 inch tires and not 16 inch.

255/15/60 in the back - no rubbing
245/ 15/60 in the front - only rubbed for a week or so. the handling from the 2 different sizes is great. You will not be able to tell anything. And i just got my entire front suspension rebuilt with all new parts. I love the set up and it gives me that raked look without being too seventiesh, if you know what I mean.
