wax for rims?

I just got a question, it may be dum but oh well.

Is there a wax for rims? I keep hearing people talk about it.

I meticulously keep my car clean. I wax it, it is never in any condition except showroom. I clean my rims using WINDEX and a cloth until they are brand spanking new looking.

However I did notice in the past few weeks a couple of scratches on the front rims here and there.

Is there a wax that goes on the rim to protect it?

i've never come across any wheel-specific wax...however i have in the past, and still use caranuba wax on mine and it works good. Pretty much any wax you pick up will do the job

If the wheels are clearcoated just use the same wax/polish you use on your car.

if you have chrome, then there is a product called "neverdull" it comes in a tin can. what it is, its cotton ***** that you directly apply on the wheel, then you just wipe it off, and it looks great!!!!

Check out www.tirerack.com they carry a wax that is specifically
designed for wheels. I cannot remember what the name of it is
(wheel wax I think), but it is under the wheel accessories section.
