wheel spacers strength?

I've got to use about an 1 1/2 inch or 2 inch spacer on my rear wheels. How strong are they? I'm putting 275/40/17 nitto drag radials on the car. It should run 12's or so.
Thanks,
Todd

If they are billet, made by a reputable company, and installed properly, they should be fine. I have spacers on all 4 corners of mine and have had no problems. Best bet is to talk to a company that makes them. Make sure they have a warrenty and complete installation instructions. Do a search on the companies as well to see what people think of their product.

redraif, What kind of power are you putting to the ground?

They will be billet.

Soon 400+. Right now, not worth mentioning. Spacers should be safe on a 12 second car. That not much more than a stock 4th gen. Keith Manny at Year One has been running spacers for a couple years. Joe says he thinks the car runs 12s. Give him a call. He can probably steer you the right way. 800-950-9503.

What my HP #s? Oh I already got berated once by a guy. Though its good for a V-6. The V-6 guys were impressed a 140,000+ motor could still run stock #s. My torque was higher than stock though. Let me get the injectors fixed and then I will Dyno it again.
