wax on plastic?

wax on plastic?

anyone have any pointers how to get wax off of weatherstrip and plastic trim peices?

I've heard it's not difficult if you take some liquid soap, or even WD-40, wet the spot, then gently scrub the wax out of the grain with an old toothbrush.
I also hear that it helps prevent this from happening if you put your plastic/rubber dressing on these parts before you wax the car instead of after.

thanks.. dish soap.. i didnt think of that, we were always told how it would take wax off a car, but i forgot about it... just got this ride and whoever waxed it did a drunken job, wax on just about every plastic trim peice there is.. (non- fbody car)
