Painting door handels and Key lock same color as Car??

Has any body painted the door handels and key lock the same color as the car? I have a white z-28 that is getting painted. Would the handels look good all white? They are black now. Does anyone have pictures of the same color car and handels/locks? please let me know what you think and if you have pictures?

thanks a lot,

Dan

Bit of a crappy picture, but here's mine. IMHO I think white handles on a white car may be a bit too much. Get a pic of your car on here and I'll make them white with photoshop for you...then you'll see for yourself if you like them or not.

Its a good idea but I takes away from the contrast. If they came painted like that I bet a load of people would paint them black. The only thing I would do is get those that say fuel injected.

There are a couple of third-gens where I live that have done the handles and lock the color of the car and it is a dead give away that the car has been repainted. Not that most people care but IMO it looks better black.

Not to mention the fact that is shows chips alot more from your key. And it takes a really good painter to be able to prep that stuff well enough to get the paint to look really good. To me it has always looked like someone was too lazy to remove the handles and locks for a paint job, or too lazy to tape them up...

Plus if the black chips it is way easier to touch up later...

If the handles were flush mounted like deadbirds conversion I would say yes to painting them. But on stock handles I think they look better contrasted.

Edit: That was my 1000th post, wooohooo! I'm in the 4 digits now. Does my status change to something else or am I still a senior member???Still Senior, oh well...

I agree I think I should stay with black. Si_camaro, I'll try and get you pic so you can photoshop it, because I would still like to see what it looks like, thanks a lot for the help everyone.
