According to the White book the last year for copper was 1986 and they only made 2 of them.

Yes i know, but if you add up the numbers, thier is about 200 cars that dont go under any of the colors. Teh reason im askign because i freind of mine claims he used to have one, but his ex wife made him trade it in, now he owns a z06, and he sent me pictures and told me the color was copper metallic..the pics even look liek it........

I believe those 200 cars that you're referring to were mostly due to non-standard paint colors & schemes used for various police & public authorities. Multi-colored schemes such as black & white, along with hues to better match the caprice police vehicles.

I'm not sure whether that would account for all 200 tho. I forget how many B4Cs there were in 91, and I have no idea how many of those got the non standardized paint colors/schemes.

91 had 592 b4c's. Now as far as paitn on a b4c..woudlnt that be left up to the polci department since most cop cars use the same colors but in different shcemes?

GM sold some of their B4Cs in non-standard schemes. The only one that I'm specifically aware of is the black & white scheme. I believe the doors, hatch and hood were white, 1/4s and fenders were black. That would be one that got the non-standard paint code.

As for colors, I *think* some unique colors were available. All of the NY State Police B4C cars came in a blue color that I don't recall ever having seen on a regular RS camaro. This is just a guess on the colors though.

If I can find it, I'll try to dig up the documentation that I have on the subject. It's been a long time since I read it, and I don't remember what book it's in.
