push and hold down the 'mute' button on the steering wheel.

this will unlock the radio.

high tech security, eh?

EDIT: If the radio is not in a GTA with the wheel or you do not have the steering wheel controls hooked up... good luck! I don't know that you can use it.

Unfortunately bud, I don't think so. Like I said above, if it is not used in conjunction with the steering wheel controls, I am not aware of a way to make it work.

I think that this was the point in the design i.e. if someone steals the deck out of the car it will be useless to them anyway. That being said, I would think that there would be a way to 'fool' the deck but I do not personally have the technical knowledge of the system to be of any help to you.

Anyone else out there that can help ?

Uhh this maybe a long shot but try to cut the power to your car from the fuse because i read something about the SES light checking and resteting and if you disconnect the battery you could have to put a 4 digit code or something .. hey it may work...

what year is the radio from?

I have the same Question ???????

I have the same question as Ward,......

I currently have 2 of these units..... one displays "LOC" when plugged in & the other plays normally in any car I plug it into.

To UNLOCK the code I have been instructed to use the "MUTE" button on the steering wheel while the system was installed in a Bonneville or a GTA. But I have also been informed by the same sources that once you unplug the radio again - the dam "LOC" is re-activated.......

SO ---->

Once the steering wheel control radio is "UNLOCKED" by pressing the MUTE button of the streering wheel controls ---- How in the Hell do you obtain the lock CODE !!??!?!? Once the lock CODE is discovered,............ How do you disable it and bypass the security feature ???

Like I said - I know it can be done because I have another radio that is the same exact type of radio that is unlocked & in perfect working order !!!!

ANYONE HELP !!!!
