RU-QWIK What wheels are on your car?

I checked out your website and in a couple of pictures, there are some awesome wheels on the back of your car. Are those Weld's? If so, what is the name of them and what is the size?
Thanks

Those were Welds. I don't remember the name of them though, it was a photo shoot for Chevy High Performance magazine. If you have old copies, look in the June 2000 issue and you can see me and my car. The article was about "pro touring" and drag racing. I will look for that issue, I am sure the name is listed. The ones you saw on my old site were 17 / 11 with 315/35/17 Tires. I wish I had my rear brakes swapped back then, the disks would look better behid those wheels!

Ok, found the issue. They are Weld type 76. I don't know if they are in production. When I asked Mike Petralia, "used to be the associate editor for Chevy High Perf. mag." now he is with Super Chevy, he said they would run about 500 bucks each, and that was with him having connections! Never looked into them since...

those are by far the best looking wheels I have seen on a thirdgen. Those wheels were also on a 70-73 camaro in another mag. How did you get into dealing with Chevy Hi...those are the kind of connections I need. Is there anyone that makes a wheel that is similar?
Thanks man,
Brit

Those wheels on the 70-73 you are referring to are "THE" same set I used for the shoot. That second gen is Mike Petralia's personal car. I was contacted and asked if I would mind letting them use my car for the shoot... Hmmmm, that was a rough decision ! Anyways, I will check into those wheels on Monday and if they are being produced, I will get a cost on them.

if you don't mind me asking, what do you do for a living? I am getting out of the USAF soon and have all kinds of $$$ to go to school with but am unsure of what I want to do.
