I recently got an neon underbody kit for my Camaro and some people have been calling me a "*****".

Now I hate being called that cuase I don't count it as a complement.

All I have in my car are neon lights and subs. I don't have decals, I don't have some really loud exhaust, I don't have tailpipes that reach out like a foot. My car isn't even an import, like I said, it's a Camaro.

 

No you are not a ***** for having neons.

 

Lots of people throw around the word ***** pretty easily...
Personally I find neons can look cool on some cars. But would I ever buy an underbody neon kit?? Hell no because I don't wanna be associated with all the little POS Civics that run around here thinking their 17 second car is crazy fast
I would maybe find it cool for a couple of months,but I know it wouldn't stay on my car very long before I realized how dumb I look rolling around glowing at night...

The bottom line though.....do what you want to your car and dont expect everyone to like it...theres always gonna be haters...thats life.....

 

Rice is spending money on some crap that you would appear makes your car faster but doesn't. This is huge wings and body kits mostly. Neons, as much as I don't like them, don't make your car rice.

 

I used to want neons, but they add weight and take more juice from my battery. Having a V6, I need all the power and the least amount of weight possible.

Different people have different priorities with their cars. Some need an ego boost from the compliments their cars bring visually, then others want the pure adrenaline feeling of going fast and impressing people that way. If you want to attract little girls put all the lights and neon on your car as possible. If you want to attract women then you make their panties wet with a rush of adrenaline from a quick 0-100MPH run

 

Ricers make ricers! Neon light...no! The people who own these "ricers" are the ones who give these cars that name. Yeah like abig fat wing make the car go faster...No I don't thinks so! LOL I will install a momo steering wheel...htat should get me 10hp eh? NOT!

Neons were being put on cars before the whole "*****" thing. Now people think its a ***** thing cause of the Fast and the Furious. Personally, I don't think its *****.

 

Heck no your not a *****....really....I think that the neons look really good under these cars (opinion)......but definently not a *****

 

I dont like neons but no your not a *****. Neons on a bmw whit a heavy spoiler kit now thats rice..

 

If you ask me, being a '*****' involves more than just buying stuff for your car. Its a mindset. People who honestly think useless mods will make them fast. Do you think Neons will make you faster? I doubt it. I'm sure you're doing it just to have fun. And you know alot of people in the import scene are the same. They do stuff just for fun.

But lets talk about hypocrisy for a minute. Would you owning a domestic mean its impossible for you to be a *****? Nope. So lets be fair. Since everyone in the domestic scene will automatically assume anyone with a similarly equipped import would be a ***** (read previous replies), then its only fair to say that yes you are a *****.

The only way for people to really know if you are a ***** or not is to talk to you. And the truth is that probably wont happen. People love to assume. It makes it so much easier to put someone else down and make themselves feel better. So take it for what its worth. I say screw what everyone else thinks. If you wanna do something to have fun, then do it. Who cares what other people think. The whole domestic vs import Rice thing is a lame excuse for domestic people to talk down to imports.

I think I'd rather be an import tuner and know my ****, have my "*****" all done up with stickers, wings, the whole nine yards then be some of the morons who throw the damn term out there to begin with and make people question whether a modification they do to their car is acceptable or not. Asking whether or not your rice is the complete wrong question - ask instead why you give a **** what those idiots think anyways.

Summit catalogs......
I ordered all the summit catalogs on line, trucks, domestics and even rice, I mean "sport compact"
the domestic catalog is way thicker, and what does it start with?
carbs, heads, intakes, cams, all the fun go FAST stuff.
look at the sport compact mag, from summit, and what does it start with? body kits, wings, pedals, neon ****ers, sticker packages, cold air intake (like thats all you need to get those 10 sec. 1/4) and engine beutification stuff......

it's all about taste, if it's done tastefull most people won't put it down wether they like it or not.

 

put it this way, theres a ursted up astro around where i live, and it has a HUGE type R sticker on the back window.. its HUGE.. and it has green neons under it..

I am probably going to put some Neons under my car, some red ones, so people can see it at night at the strip for the 10 seconds I drive down it.

 

Mate are you serious! how can ya be a ***** when ya drive a 3rd gen, unless ya stuck a 4 cylinder in it and made it look like it has 400 HP when it only has enough to blow the skin off warm milk!

lol the top Eclipse with the stupid yellow accents on that De-***** bottle lives right near me!!wow aint that some coincedental shiznit.trust me when i say this,that pic on the bottle does the car NO justice.it is even WORSE to see in person.the guy that drives it is waaay to tall to drive it,all hunched up on the wheel,and he looks like a COMPLETE fool because of that stupid yellow roof.i just cant wait to race him in my Talon to show him what a TRUE DSM is all about! :rockon:

I have a friend with a CRX that used to always come over to my place so I could "help" (more like do all his work for him). So what I call a ***** is a person who buys cheap stuff, and pays (or prays) to have it put on for them.
