Opps, left an un opened can of sprite..
A month ago or so I was running late for work and I jumped out and left a sprite I had taken with me setting on my console. Anyways it exploded and I got sprite everywhere. I cleaned everything up no stains. The only problem is it got on the inner window seal and every time I roll the windows down it leaves a film on the window. How do I clean the seal? What can I use that will not dry it out but will still get the seal clean.
I use a terrycloth dishrag with a Dawn dishwashing liquid and water mix to clean the window sweeps. Clean both sides several times, then treat the OUTSIDE only with a light pass of rubber protectant. The inside of the sweeps have a sort of furry lining that retains liquids and causes filmy smudges when the windows are rolled up and down. The Dawn doesn't seem to dry it out, especially when I use some type of protectant (been using Mother's back-to-black). 13 years and still no cracks on the seals...
